My grandson, John, graduated from high school while we were gone, and has chosen to join the Marines, where he is now doing very well in boot camp. Semper Fi, John. And congratulations. And to his mother, PattiJo, my beautiful daughter, there are no words adequate to express  my pride and love for you.

It’s a little cooler today. Maybe I can get a few things done. In the meantime, I thought I’d put up this cartoon that sort of sums up what a lot of us older vets think about Bob Hope.

We’re home. The house is empty without Margo. The yard is in good shape because of Millie and Bob. It seems strange to be home. We went shopping at Safeway and they’d completely remodeled inside.
